A Walk Across the Solar System
If the sun was the size of a soccer ball, how big would the earth be? And how far away? Gain an understanding of the enormous size of space by exploring a scale model on foot. Join amateur astronomer and Carlisle resident Steve Golson for a walk across the solar system. Meet on the front lawn of Gleason Public Library on Monday at 2PM. We'll walk from there and end up at Kimball's for ice cream. The whole tour will take less than an hour. Ages 5 and up recommended and an appropriate guardian should be present with children.
